Our Mission
The Foundation’s mission is to support and promote the delivery of quality emergency medical care wherever and whenever patients need care by securing funding for far reaching projects through:
Expansion of the scientific knowledge base that is the core of the specialty of emergency medicine by supporting clinical research.
Examination of dynamic societal issues related to emergency medical care through the support of health policy research and programs.
Provision of funds to develop and expand the academic foundations for emergency medicine through professional faculty development programs and research in educational methodology to assist in coping with the challenges of rapid change.
Creation of programs to enhance the public’s knowledge of emergency care delivery and prevention, and the crucial role of the emergency physician in our nation’s health care system.
