MEMF Scholarships

Underrepresented in Medicine Scholarship


The Michigan Emergency Medicine Foundation (MEMF) gives away scholarships for the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians (MCEP) Medical Student Forum which is held the last weekend of January.  In alignment with MCEP’s mission to improve diversity in the College, these scholarships will be awarded to students who are Underrepresented in Medicine (URM) from medical schools in the State of Michigan ONLY.  Please visit the MCEP website for more information about the Medical Student Forum.  The scholarship maximum value is $500 per person and is intended to help cover the cost of travel, lodging and food.  There will be 2 scholarships given to for the MCEP Medical Student Forum.  

 

MEMF Sponsored Scholarship Contest 


Resident physicians currently training in an emergency medicine residency in Michigan and are MCEP members at the time of the event, are invited to submit proposals for a 15-minute talk on a topic in emergency medicine. 3 resident physicians will be selected to present their lecture during the main session of the Michigan Emergency Medicine Assembly in July. Each speaker will receive a $1200 MEMF Scholarship to attend the conference. Please visit the MCEP website for more information.
